Reworked Levi's 501 jeans with vintage Japanese indigo cotton maekake.

This Maekake apron was used by container material merchant Takigawa, Japan.

Comes with original woven tie on the maekake as belt!

These jeans are unisex – high rise boyfriend fit for women. They are meant to be worn a bit oversized.

About Maekake

The maekake is a traditional apron that has been used for centuries as part of the uniform of Japanese workers. They were used by merchants, craftsmen, factory workers. Printed on the maekake (pronounced: ma-eh-ka-keh) was either the name of the factory or the shop, as advertisement.
